Studio Terms & Conditions

STUDIO TERMS & CONDITIONS

  1. Studio has a 3-hour minimum. A 50% deposit is required to confirm a booking and first-time clients require 100% deposit. We accept Cash, Check, PayPal, and Credit Cards. Client is responsible for any and all legal costs and attorney’s fees required to collect payment for any services rendered.
  2. Clients recording session is not considered booked until payment or deposit is made in full.
  3. In the event of cancellation, Client is responsible to pay 50% of book rate for all studio time canceled with 72 hours notice or less. Client is responsible to pay 100% of book rate for all studio time canceled with 24 hours notice or less. Studio has the right to withhold any work completed at the studio (Masters) from Client until the balance is paid in full. If the Studio must cancel a session due to illness or other reasonable cause, the Studio will reschedule the session for the earliest available time the Studio has available consistent with the needs of the Client. No refund will be given on studio time after the session is completed. 
  4. Studio time is billed in 30 minute increments. Any single Client session that goes over 10 hours of studio time will go into Overtime. Overtime is billed at 1.5 times the hourly rate.
  5. Studio time includes setup time, break down time, and any breaks taken by client or client parties. When an Engineer is provided, they are entitled to a 15-minute break every 2 hours (to alleviate ear fatigue) and a 30-minute meal breaks every 6 hours. All Engineer break time is considered on the clock.
  6. Usage of main control room speakers will be limited in loudness except for brief periods of checking recording/mix.
  7. No usage of main control room speakers between the hours of 6:00am-6:00pm.
  8. Additional fees may be incurred when adding additional services outside of studio time. For example; editing, vocal tuning, mixing, mastering, creating additional tracks, and adding to or modifying tracks.
  9. The Studio will look after but is not responsible for, any and all property left on the premises by Client or other related parties.
  10. If a balance is unpaid within 30 days, the Client’s recording files left on premises shall become the property of the Studio. Upon completion of payment, the Studio will transfer all recordings and ownership of sound recording copyrights back to the Client.
  11. Client is responsible for any and all backups and backup materials upon completion of sessions, and the Studio will maintain a backup for 30 days. After 30 days, the files may be permanently deleted unless other arrangements have been made. Files for ongoing projects booking time on a regular basis will not be deleted.
  12. Client shall be responsible for any loss or damage to Studio property incurred by Client or related parties as a result of misuse, negligence, and or carelessness. Although food and drinks are allowed in the studio, please use them in reasonable quantities. Any spills that cause damage to the building or equipment will be to be billed to the Client. The Studio reserves the right to remove any Client or any related parties from the facility, who may be behaving in a disorderly or a disruptive manner.
  13. Studio is responsible for providing a clean, functioning recording studio, with agreed upon staff. If for any reason Client is unsatisfied with any part of their session, Client must notify Studio Manager immediately during Client’s scheduled recording session. Once Client’s daily session has completed, all Studio’s services shall be deemed satisfactorily rendered. Due to the subjective nature of music, Studio is not responsible for Client’s satisfaction regarding their final product (i.e. it’s not Studio’s fault if Client arrives unprepared or Client’s recording goals were too ambitious).
  14. No smoking is allowed indoors during your studio session. You may smoke outside at least 10 feet away from the building. Please do not leave butts or trash matches on the ground, ashtrays are provided outside.
  15. Please help us keep the area neat and orderly. Do not leave food or trash around the grounds or in the studio. Please clean up any mess that you make. Place all trash in appropriate containers.
  16. The Client releases the Studio from any harm or damage that may occur to Client or any person in Client’s party. The Client releases the Studio from any harm or damage that may occur to equipment belonging to Client or any person in Client’s party. Any harm or damage that may occur to any person or equipment in Client’s party while Client is on Studio premises remains the sole responsibility of the Client. It remains Client’s responsibility to aware everyone in their party of these Studio Terms  Conditions.
  17. The Client agrees to allow its name, photographic image, and/or musical samples to be used on the Studio’s website and/or for other promotional purposes without permission, unless otherwise agreed upon. The Studio will not sell or allow downloads of the Client’s music without prior agreement.
  18. The Studio will provide a runner to the Client for the purpose of food pickup within a two-mile radius. Any runs over a two-mile radius or for any other reason than the pick up of food are subject to a $25 service fee.
